Statue to the Surrey Cricketer and batsman Eric Bedser (1918-2006) by sculpter Allan Sly in Woking, UK


Life-size bronze statues at either end of the Bedser Bridge in Woking, Surrey, show Sir Alec bowling from the town side to his twin brother Eric. The statues of cricketing twins Sir Alex and Eric Bedser were unveiled by former prime minister Sir John Major. Sir Alec bowled for England in the 1950s and also played for Surrey. Eric was an all-rounder who played for Surrey. The statues were sculpted by Allan Sly.
