Steam Engine, Caledonian 828, at Boat of Garten steam train railway station in the Scottish Highlands. The steam train operates on part of the original Highland Railway of 1865. It takes you from Aviemore through Boat of Garten to Broomhill with the Cairngorms as a stunning backdrop. The authentic original carriages have been restored by a dedicated team of volunteers. The Caledonian 828 engine is the sole surviving member of the 812 class designed by John F McIntosh. Built in 1899 in St Rollox works in Glasgow.
