Limestone scree habitat of Ley's Whitebeam, Sorbus leyana, South Wales, UK.

Darren Fach is one of only a few sites in the world where the rare Ley's Whitebeam is found. The tree is restricted to limestone scree habitat in South Wales, has a weak genetic pool and is vulnerable to extinction through habitat loss. Management objectives are in place to preserve the tree's habitat and encourage it's regeneration.
