Aerospace engineer Ethel Heinecke Bauer working on trajectories at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center in 1965. Over the course of her long, barrier-breaking career, Ethel Bauer made instrumental contributions to many NASA programs. She retired on January 31, 1993 after thirty-two years of federal service.
