The Glade of the Armistice where the Armistice of 11 November 1918 that ended the First World War was signed in the Forest of Compiègne (Forêt de Compiègne) near Compiègne in France. The stone plaque marks the site the French railway carriage of Marshal Ferdinand Foch where the Armistice was signed on 11 November 1918 at 5:15 The Armistice of 22 June 1940 after Germany won the Battle of France was also signed at the same place in the same railway carriage.
