Old colonial building in the coastal town of Pangani in Tanzania

The buildings of in the centre of Pangani Town are a mix of colonial structures and Arabic style. Many buildings are in need of renovation. An old signpost erected during colonial times has lost all signs except the one pointing to Tanga, the next big town north along the coast. The signpost is symbolic for the state of Pangani town.
