Torridon hill fire
During a spell of dry weather brush fires occurred throughout the Scottish Highlands. This is the fire that occurred on Liathach very close to the village of Torridon. Several people had to be airlifted to safety and the fire lasted for several fire service used a helicopter to help put out the flames. Forest regeneration projects were also affected.
