Kelton, the one ton wickerwork sculpture of a Belted Galloway breed bull, on display & Kirkcudbright, Scotland, Aug 2021. Recognised as a distinctive breed in 1929, the Belted Galloway is a traditional Scottish breed of beef cattle. It is derived from the Galloway cattle of the Galloway region of south-western Scotland, The Belted Galloway suffered heavily during the epidemic of foot-and-mouth disease in the British Isles in 2001 and was for a time an at risk breed.
