Black and white engraving of a statue of King James II, from the studio of Grinling Gibbons, from the November 1883 issue of The English Illustrated Magazine.


The statue is pictured outside Banqueting House, Whitehall, where it was located until 1898. Since 1947 it has stood in Trafalgar Square. The scroll in his right hand is no longer there. From the article "The Banqueting House, And Old Whitehall" by Austin Dobson.
