Aldeburgh, Suffolk, England, "Scallop" shell sculpture by Maggi Hambling in honour of Benjamin Britten

Controversial sculpture designed by Maggi Hambling and made 100 metres inland by Sam and Dennis Pegg who run a foundry and are usually repairing and building boats. Words from Benjamin Britten's opera Peter Grimes are cut out around the edge: "I hear those voices that will not be drowned"
