A look at "Three hairstyles from Delineator, February 1917 " shows a similar hairstyle which looks like a bob but isn't - as at the back her hair is long and gathered into a bun - a cautious approach for many women, before fully adopting the daring "bobbed" hairstyle. On the reverse is also written "To the dearest husband ever"
