Paper wasps (Polistes dominulus) on their nest.

Paper wasps (Polistes dominulus) on their nest. Native to Europe and Asia, they have been introduced to North and South America, where they have replaced some native species. Webbing is visible on some cells, perhaps from the caterpillars of Chalcoela moths, which are parasitic on the wasp larvae.
