Entertainment industry and late singer and actor Jon English's fans came together and celebrated Jon English’s life with tributes and performances in his memory at the Capitol Theatre, 13 Campbell Street, Haymarket, Sydney. English died on March 9, aged 66, from complications following surgery. The Capitol Theatre was where he performed his breakout role as Judas Iscariot in the 1972 production Jesus Christ Superstar.
