The University Crossing Bridge had long been promised to connect the rest of the Dallas Parks Trail System to the Katy Trail from downtown through Uptown, through Highland Park and University Park to Mockingbird Lane. The $12M cable stayed bridge for bike and pedestrians was finally built connecting to the section south of Mockingbird to the north section connecting to the White Rock Trail and the rest of the system. It has high traffic use and is enjoyed by all.
