The Sainsbury’s Anniversary Games was held in a temporary stadium at Horse Guards Parade. It hosted track and field events including sprints, hurdles and high jump. The unique event will attract the best Olympic and Paralympic athletes in the world including: Team GB’s Jonnie Peacock, Pole vault world record holder Renaud Lavillenie, Olympic hurdles champion and world record holder Aries Merritt and 2008 Olympic Champion Blanka Vlasic. Races were also held in the Mall, where people watched for free,with the likes of six-time Paralympic champion David Weir in action
