A mass of it presents a sight never to be forgotten. (See cut.) RXJPESTRIS.—A charming little creeping species grow- ing but 3 or 4 inches high. It forms a dense mat of deep green foliage, which is completely covered in spring with bright blue flowers. It is very effective and largely used in rock planting.
