A heavy German volley gun, circa 1700. Four-barrel bundle consisting of rifled octagonal barrels in 14 mm calibre. Slightly engraved flintlock with cambered lockplate. Blackened walnut half stock with slightly engraved brass furniture, butt with patchbox. Brass barrel bands with lateral iron trunnions. Length 156 cm. Rare fortress gun mounted on a swivel carriage because of the recoil.
