A tropical helmet M 1900 of the East Asiatic Expeditionary Corps Depot piece. Cork body with field-grey textile covering and edging (blemishes), unscrewable ventilation cap and folding neck guard. Green liner, brown leather sweatband with size stamping "54 1/2", embossed maker's crest and lettering "Ludwig Bortfeldt Bremen", brown chinstrap with brass slides. The neck guard underside stamped " 1903" and quadruple stamped "10 IR - - - 1905".
