The body or corpus of the stomach has elongated, blind-ending tubular glands opening onto the surface of the mucosa. These gastric glands show many acid-secreting (parietal) cells stained deep pink colour, and mucous- and enzyme-secreting cells staining blue. Magnification x150 when printed at 10 cm.
