A recreation of the iconic Burma Shave sign stands along Hwy 66 in Arizona. The roadside advertising started in 1925 and was discontinued in 1963 when the Burma-Vita company was sold to Philip Morris. Ironically the signs were never placed in Arizona, or New Mexico and Nevada, as the road traffic was deemed insufficient.
