Skin cancer. Light micrograph (LM) of a section of a follicular infundibulum tumour of the skin. Follicular infundibulum tumor is a rare benign lesion that occurs most frequently on the head and neck. It presents as an asymptomatic, solitary, scaly nodule up to cm in diameter often misdiagnosed clinically as basal cell carcinoma. It is more common in females and affects the middle aged and elderly. Magnification: x 60 when printed at 10 centimetres wide. Human tissue.
