Most of these are very late-breeding birds, but whythey should breed late, or for what cause they seem tochoose a different line of migration, seems at presentinexplicable. Before a conclusion can be arrived atmany more facts must be collected. The field of ornitho-logical research is one in which any amount of work maybe advantageously done, and possibly the perusal of thepresent narrative may help to arouse the enthusiasmof other adventurous ornithologists, and induce them totake up the running where we left it off.
