The Vieux Chapitre (The Old Chapter), Meaux, Seine-et-Marne, Île-de-France, near Paris, France, attached to Cathedrale Saint-Etienne, Meaux

• The Old Chapter, situated east of the courtyard of the Bishopric, has sometimes been called "chapter castle" because of its four corbelled turrets inspired by military architecture of the Middle Ages. This vast building has two large vaulted vaults in the basement and on the ground floor, a noble hall on the first floor and finally an attic under the framework.
