Police investigate the crime scene where police shot dead Michael Fitzpatrick yesterday, Mr Fitzpatrick, who was in his 40s, was shot in Rock Place, Kemp Town, Brighton, shortly after 1pm, on 10th Feb 2011. Witnesses described seeing two men in plain clothes get out of a car and heard two shots fired. Others said they saw a gun in the injured man's hand. Sussex Police confirmed the officers involved were carrying out a pre-planned operation to find a man wanted in connection with armed robberies.
