In the village of water lily in Barisal, Bangladesh

The 'bils' (canal) covered with water lily look like an embroidered quilt drafted in the lap of nature. This eye soothing scene comes across ones view on a bil of Uttar Stla village under Uzirpur Upazila, 60 km away from Barisal Sadar Upazila. This is popularly called ShaplarBil (Canal of water lily). Water lily is cultivated on about 10 thousand acres of wetlands in this village. 70percent of the villagers are associated with lily cultivation. Lily is transported to different places in the country from this village. The village is very ideal to take photographs. The whole period from March to November is lily season.
