The Black Umfolozi River flowing through the wild landscape of the Hluhluwe-Umfolozi Game Reserve in Kwazulu Natal, South Africa. The Black Umfolozi River joins up with the White Umfolozi River on the South Eastern boundary of the game park from where it flows east into the Indian Ocean at Maphelana, a coastal resort just south of the St Lucia River mouth. The isiZulu name imFolozi is generally considered to describe the zigzag course followed by both tributaries.
