A solitary and rare Nordman's Greenshank wading in the shallow rich waters of the Cairns Esplanade in Far North Queensland in Australia.

Nordmann's Greenshank is, sadly, one of the rarest waders in the world with a population of probably less than 2,000 individuals and a red book status of endangered as its population is declining.
