Kilauea Eruption 2018


Multiple explosions at KÄ«lauea's summit occurred throughout the day on May 23, with some of the ash plumes rising 6,000 to 7,000 feet above sea level. Hawaii Volcano Observatory scientists keeping tabs on the explosions from a safe distance captured this ash plume at 12:55 HST.
