A vintage cartoon style illustration showing Hector the Greek and Roman mythological hero just before he died in battle. He was a Trojan prince and hero in the Trojan Wars. Traditionally he was the first-born son of King Priam and Queen Hecuba, a descendant of Dardanus and Tros, the founder of Troy and was married to Andromache, with whom he had an infant son, Scamandrius (whom the people of Troy called Astyanax) (shown in the illustration).
