View looking E of the Moel y Gerddi house at Butser Ancient Farm, Hampshire, UK, showing its opposed E-W doorways. An archaeological reconstruction based on the excavation of a C4th/3rdBC site in Wales. The house is 9m (30ft) in diameter built on a double ring of posts. The smaller hut is based upon ground plans excavated at the Glastonbury Lake Village, Somerset. The wattle & daub walls have been coated with earth pigments.
