Dutch government in exile, 1943 photograph Prime Minister Gerbrandy pays attention to the death of Pangeran Adipati Sojono, the Prime Minister of Indonesian descent. Sojono was a descendant of a Javanese regent family. Sojono was regent in Pasoeruran and a member of the Volksraad and of the Council for the Dutch East Indies. In 1942 he became a minister without a portfolio in London. He died a year later in 1943. The photo also contains the Bolkestein (center) and Kerstens ministers.
