Azure Kingfishers (Alceda Azurea) are a beautiful bird, but very shy, and hard to find. This one was fishing in the Yarra River near Warrandyte.

I was thrilled to catch a glimpse of this Azure Kingfisher, before it disappeared into the trees by the river. I waited ages to see if it came out again - and my patience was rewarded!
