The Deaf Cat is a coffee bar in Rochester High Street which also has a gallery space and studio attached. It aims to provide a venue for artists to rent gallery space, share ideas and inspiration as well as providing coffee and cakes. As with much of Rochester the name has a Dickens connection - it is named after the cat who sat on the desk in Dickens' studio while he wrote.
