Langley Dyke, Norfolk Broads, Norfolk

Langley Dyke, off the south side of the River Yare in the Norfolk Broads, is one of a number of short canals dug from the river across flanking marshland to firmer ground where cargoes could be landed by keels and wherries, the sail traders which carried goods around the Broads in the days of sail. These days, like the whole of the Norfolk Broads navigation, the dyke is entirely concerned with leisure boaters and sailors.
