Ruins of the Venus Temple - the second largest of the three Baalbek temples . / The Roman Temples of Baalbek are some of the best preserved Roman ruins, siuated in the town Baalbek in Lebanon. In Roman times it was known as Heliopolis or City of the Sun. The temple complex of Baalbek contains the Temple of Jupiter, Venus and Bacchus.
