Julia Kuzovkina an assistant professor of horticulture at the University of Connecticut is studying Willows and how they have many benefits and beauty qualities. "We know that willows can take up metal pollutants from the soil, including cadmium," Kuzovkina says. They can also be shaped into tunnels and "Willow Rooms."
