Jemma Jones was diagnosed with cancer of the oesophagus. She is one of the youngest person in the UK to be diagnosed with this type of cancer.

It is rare for someone so young to develop oesophageal cancer. Doctors first thought her weight loss was due to a setting disorder. Oesophageal cancer has a low survival rate. Jemma had surgery to remove tumours in her gullet and is now clear of cancer.
