A German stonebow, circa 1600 Iron prod with braided, tarred hemp string (both later replacements). The tiller with a suspension ring, folding sights and cocking device. The upper side of the cocking lever with squirrel mark. Trigger with setting button and iron trigger guard. Finely carved walnut butt with inlays and butt end made from bone, engraved with a coat of arms and various depictions of animals. All metal parts with heavy patina.
