River Dokan from the West, Iraqi Kurdistan, Iraq

River Dukan is part of the Little Zab river system which later joins the Tigris Euphrates system to the south. Further north near the town of Dukan, the Little Zab has been dammed to form Lake Dukan, the largest reservoir lake in Iraqi Kurdistan, and the barrage or dam produces hydro electricity for the area.
