St. Paul's Cathedral, Sir Christopher Wren's massterpiece atop tudgate Hill dominating the skyline beyond Blackfriars Bridge over the River Thames. The cathedral was completed in 1675 and is one of the most recognizable landmarks in London. Resitng on Ludgate HIll, the highest point in the City of London, it was the tallest structure in the city until 1967 and its dome is one of the tallest in the world. The current Blackfriars Bridge opened in 1869.
