Lower Glen Alpine Falls in the Tahoe National Forest - Eldorado County, California, USA.
Lower Glen Alpine Falls, near Fallen Leaf Lake, near South Lake Tahoe in Eldorado County, California USA is a picturesque little waterfall on Glen Apine Creek. It is about as wide as it is tall at 75 feet. It sits a very long couple miles off State Route 89. The road in “paved,” so to speak but rough, narrow, and fairly heavily traveled, requiring lots of pulling over to let other vehicles pass. On this visit I caught it late in the day as the afternoon sun was beginning to fall behind the forest and ridgeline. I’ve been here a few times and this was the most I’ve ever seen it flow and that was a welcome sight indeed!
