Seattle, Washington: An excavator loads rock from a barge to the shoreline during construction at Colman Dock. The ferry terminal is Washington State’s largest, transporting 10 million visitors annually across Puget Sound between downtown Seattle and Kitsap County and the Olympic Peninsula. Washington State Department of Transportation’s Seattle Multimodal Terminal at Colman Dock Project started construction a new multimodal terminal in August 2017 and is expected to be complete sometime in 2023.
