Drinking cow product remedy, India. Cow products in India are part of traditional Indian medicine (Ayurveda). This remedy is an example of Panchgavya, an Ayurvedic therapy that uses five parts of the cow: milk, curd, ghee, urine and dung. Cow dung is rich in minerals and the bacteria used to digest plant matter. It is claimed that these bacteria have therapeutic properties that can heal skin disorders and improve the condition of the skin. Photographed at the Go-Vigyan Anusandhan Kendra centre in Nagpur.
