Portrait of a Gaboon Viper, found in rainforests in sub-Saharan Africa. They can grow up to almost 2m long. It has fangs up to 5cm long, and produces the 2nd largest quantity of venom in any snake (behind the King Cobra). Luckily, these guys are REALLY lazy, and 99% of the time wont bother attacking ... unless you step on it, then you're in trouble!!
