Exercises of the Circus Horse', c1818-1836. Artist: Carle Vernet. Antoine Charles Horace Vernet (1758-1836) was a French painter born in Bordeaux. Showing talent from a young age, Vernets equestrian artworks were popular, he continued painting up until the French Revolution.
