Lover's quarrel UK ADORABLE images of two Waxwings gulping on orange berries before they tenderly kiss were captured on January 7, 2024. Waxwings come to the UK from Scandinavia, but these are winter birds and won?t be with us for long. By the end of February, they begin making their long journey back to breeding grounds, which is the boreal forest belt stretching from Scandinavia through Russia and across parts of North America. British photographer Talvinder Chohan found these birds in some rowan bushes on the outskirts of Corby, Northamptonshire. ?I took the pictures in the morning, and it was freezing cold. My hands started to hurt, but watching these birds interact kept me going,? he said. ?The colours of the berries they were eating complimented the birds themselves, which made for great visuals. ?I had to wait for hours for them to relax and start interacting. I was really excited to photograph them as they are such exotic-looking species, and I never got a chance in the past to snap their ENDs
