Probably blown to UK over the Atlantic during recent gales post Hurricane Katia. This pic shows the diagnostic flank markings of the American Black Tern. This is a New Record sighting for Lincolnsire and there have only ever been 4 UK sightings to date. First seen on 17th September 2011 on Covenham Reservoir and still here today 20th Sept 2011. Chlidonias surinamensis
