Osmanthus x burkwoodii

Osmanthus x burkwoodii is considered by some as half-hardy, but this container-grown specimen has survived -9c with frozen roots at no detriment to it's flowering. Tolerates heavy pruning immediately after flowering which promotes new growth, ready to flower again the following late winter. Used by some gardeners as a substitute for box hedging.
