Begonia glabra a scandent species in the Amazon rainforest of Peru

There are about 2000 species of begonias. The plants are monoecious (having separate male and female flowers), which can be seen on this picture, with a female inflorescence at left, showing immature winged capsules, and a male inflorescence at right, which has already lost several flowers. To see my 17 images of Begonias in their natural habitat, search for "Begonia:Atlantic Forest" and "Begonia Amazon rainforest".
