HERIC, FRANCE: COULD this creepy insect be nature’s ugliest mother? Pictures show what looks like a deadly scorpion, but is actually a mummy amblypygi carrying up to 48 young on her back. The detailed shots show the eggs packed inside the see-through egg sac, which later hatch and take up position on their mother’s back until they’re ready to move out and live on their own. Jordan Cadiot (20) a student from Heric, France combined his love for photography and creepy crawlies to produce these intricate snaps.
